In 2026 I’m working on the following projects:
- Camper van rental business: Lazy Camper Van
- What is it: a seasonal camper van rental business based in Montreal I operate with my partner since 2018. We rent converted Toyota Siennas for those people who want to try a version of minimalistic van life to connect with nature or just explore the country.
- Online vinyl record shop: Johnythecat Records
- What is it: an e-commerce website selling new and used vinyl records. We ship to Canada, the US and Europe, mostly. We are also on Discogs.
- Sharing music that is not commonly favoured by algorithms: @iamsoniaortiz
- What is it: sharing obscure, old songs and vinyl records from my collection. I also post some bass covers on my channel Sonia’s Bass Practice and occasional dance practice.
- Rebuilding my body and nervous system after years of dealing with joint instability and chronic pain : I currently spend a lot of time doing physical therapy and learning about anatomy and exercise from a “bendy body perspective”.
Other current special interests at the moment include : neurodivergence, capacity, time, societal (de)conditioning through the lens of Human Design, slow living, and more…
